Why we built ShortKlips.
Hi! I'm Shane.
I love the media industry and have been involved for years.
Over the years I've built a video production agency,
DCV, but I realized to make our largest worldly impact I needed to think bigger than ourselves, I needed to involve the entire video production industry.
I was tired of running a business vs being creative.
2019 nearly killed me. For 300 days straight I handled management, payroll, international travel, finding freelancers, endless email feedback on edits... everything.
I was involved in such little of the creative work and doing the jobs better suited for a machine.
I knew I was not alone.
Speaking to others, they all expressed the same problems. Either they couldn't find great help, or were overwhelmed by business tasks they couldn't focus.
A PR agency partner called us one day in tears, upset by their video vendor and totally broken, asking what to do.
That was it. We were going to change this industry.
We put everyone in-one-place and made it easy to use.
We built ShortKlips from the ground up, as we wanted to see it. No complicated tools, easy to use interface, clear job briefs, escrow payment, on asset collaboration, and the list goes on.
If we did it right, we would:
If we did it right, we would:
- Eliminate endless email chains of feedback and small talk.
- Automate payments and never hound clients for late invoices again.
- Have available incredible talent, we trusted anywhere in the world.
- Pay the talent when the job completed, quickly and without digging around for their invoices.
- Create an actual, no BS solution for brands and creators to finally work well together.
Our greatest joy is creating jobs directly for creatives.
Seeing work get done makes us happy. Receiving messages from creators they are able to travel, or buy their new camera, or pay their rent will change your life.
We will create 1,000,000 creativeopportunities.
We will create 1,000,000
